Tiny Science || How to do chromatography with food dye
In this lego Make Science Fun episode, Jacob demonstrates the process of chromatography using blotting (filter) paper and food dyes.
This could quite easily suit a suit a Science Fair Project
Chromatography is where a mixture travels through a particular substance and as the particles making up the mixture travel at different speeds, they separate out.
Green food dye is shown to be made up of separate blue and yellow dyes.
Blue food dye must have the smallest particles as it travels through the paper the quickest, followed by red, then yellow.
This is Real Lego, Real Science, Real Good at its best!
